Kemba Walker has said that being on the verge of securing a place in the NBA playoffs is "exciting".
The Charlotte Bobcats currently sit seventh in the Eastern Conference, five wins clear of the New York Knicks, who are the highest-placed side not currently in a playoff spot.
The point guard told reporters: "It's exciting. It's different. This is what I have been dreaming of my whole life. I've been waiting for this opportunity.
"If I'm not shooting the ball as well, I am still ending up with seven or eight assists. I feel like I'm still finding ways to impact the game. Learning how to play off Al [Jefferson] has been big, and knowing where he likes the basketball. And the others guys are making shots."
The Bobcats have reached the playoffs just once in their 10-season history, losing in the first round to the Orlando Magic in 2010.
