Derrick Rose's college coach at Memphis, John Calipari, has revealed that his former star is "on a mission" to get back to his best next season.
The 25-year-old Chicago Bulls point guard is currently working with Team USA in their training camp for the FIBA Basketball World Cup and has impressed this week.
"I said [to him], 'You look great. Your explosiveness is even maybe beyond where it was, which is scary.' And I said, 'You're doing great.'
"He said, 'I'm on a mission,'" ESPN quotes Calipari as saying.
Rose has been out of competitive action since November last year but insists that his confidence is "through the roof" ahead of his return.
