The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement for David Blatt to become the team's new head coach, according to reports in the press.
Rumours were doing the rounds on Friday that Blatt had been offered the job, with a number of outlets – including ESPN – reporting that sources close to the former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach are claiming he has verbally agreed a four-year deal with Cleveland.
Blatt has been seen as an outside bet for the Cavs job, given that it would potentially be his first major role in the NBA.
Cleveland would however acquire one of the most progressive strategists in the sport, who was educated at Princeton and has two decades of experience winning titles in Europe.
