Basketball coach David Blatt has stepped down from his position as manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv, stating that he wants to pursue a career in the NBA.
The coach has revealed that he has been in contact with a number of clubs and that he has a "few good offers", according to the NBA's official website.
"I am leaving here not because I was asked to. The opposite is true, I was asked to stay, and offered the best possible conditions for such an event," Blatt told reporters.
"But I just felt it is a move I wanted to make. It has been a dream of mine for almost forever to go and join a team in the NBA in some capacity."
The coach's final game in charge of Tel Aviv saw him win the Israeli Super League.
