The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly planning to sign Andrew Wiggins to a contract in the next week or so despite speculation that he is involved in trade talks.
The Cavs have insisted that the delay in signing the deal has nothing to do with the prospect of sending Wiggins to the Minnesota Timberwolves with Kevin Love moving in the opposite direction.
However, speculation continues to suggest that after LeBron James backed their pursuit of the power forward, Cleveland and Minnesota are continuing discussions, ESPN reports.
Should Wiggins sign a deal, Cleveland would have to wait 30 days before trading him, but after securing his future they are expected to sign both Mike Miller and Ray Allen.
