James Harden to replace Kobe Bryant in NBA All-Star game

Houston Rockets star James Harden expects to replace Kobe Bryant in the Western Conference All-Stars lineup.

Houston Rockets star James Harden is expected to replace Kobe Bryant in the starting lineup for the Western All-Stars on Sunday night.

Harden is averaging 23.9 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Rockets this season, and will start in place of Bryant who is out with a knee injury, ESPN reports.

Bryant, who hasn't played since December 17, saw his Western Conference roster spot awarded to Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans last week.

The Western Conference team will be coached by Oklahoma City Thunder's Scott Brooks, who coached Harden during his time with the franchise from 2009 to 2012.
