The Houston Rockets have made the decision to trade Omer Asik, according to a report.
Asik has revealed on a number of occasions that he would be willing to leave the Rockets following the arrival of Dwight Howard, who has been a big reason for his teammate's limited minutes this season.
Houston rejected the 27-year-old's request for a trade early in the campaign but they now appear to be ready to negotiate a move.
Asik missed Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets and the Houston staff have now decided that he is not in the correct frame of mind to be given time on the court, according to ESPN.
The Rockets signed Asik on a three-year deal in July 2012.
