D'Angelo Russell wants to "stick around" in NBA

Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard D'Angelo Russell hopes that he can learn how to "stick around" in the NBA from veteran teammate Kobe Bryant.

Rookie guard D'Angelo Russell has said that he wants to learn how to "stick around" in the NBA like veteran teammate Kobe Bryant.

The Los Angeles Lakers took the 19-year-old second overall in this year's Draft, and he hopes that playing alongside Bryant and speaking to recently-retired Steve Nash will help him have a long career in the league.

Russell told Los Angeles Daily News: "I'm trying to figure out their mentality with each practice and each game. How do they manage to be around the game for so long and be successful?

"I want to learn how to stick around this league. I don't think there's a cheat code to it. But the sooner you find it out, the better you'll be."

Russell and teammate Jordan Clarkson, who is heading into his second season, have both been working with Nash in the off-season.
