Oklahoma City Thunder thrashed by Miami Heat

The Miami Heat cruise to a 103-81 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA.

The Miami Heat thrashed the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-81 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in the NBA.

LeBron James made a fast start, scoring 16 of his 33 points in a dominant first quarter for the Heat, helping them to a 17-point advantage after the first 12 minutes.

However, the reigning league MVP was forced to leave the game early after being struck by Serge Ibaka, leaving the forward with a bloodied nose.

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh stepped up in James's absence, both adding 24 to make sure that the Heat had revenge for their defeat to the Western Conference leaders earlier in the season.

The league's leading scorer, Kevin Durant, tried to keep the Thunder in contention with a 28, while Russell Westbrook scored 16 on his return from knee surgery, but they could not manage a comeback.

Despite the loss, the Thunder remain the top seed in the West, while the Heat sit second in the Eastern Conference.
