New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony has revealed that he feels he has "unfinished business" with the franchise this season.

Despite visiting the likes of the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers in free agency this summer, Anthony opted to remain in New York.

The 30-year-old insists that he felt as though he owed it to the franchise to stay after pushing to move to New York from the Denver Nuggets in 2011.

"I kind of forced my way to New York [in 2011], and I have some unfinished business to take care of," Anthony said during the Knicks' media day.

"I wouldn't have felt right from a personal standpoint, just getting up and leaving."

Anthony added that he is willing to be patient as he will start work with new coach Derek Fisher, who will look to implement a new triangle offense system.
