J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony both vented their frustrations after the New York Knicks suffered their fifth home defeat of the season on Saturday night.

The Atlanta Hawks recorded a comfortable 110-90 victory at Madison Square Garde and the result prompted some angry reaction from two members of the Knicks roster.

"Excuse my language but I was playing like shit," Smith told reporters.

"I played terrible. I've been playing terrible since I got back and I wasn't happy about it."

Anthony voiced his concern with the team's effort levels and admitted that he cannot turn their form around on his own.

"You just got to do more I guess," Anthony said. "Just try to go out there and get it done as a team. I am not going to do it by myself.

"I don't want to do it by myself. We got to do it as a team. We keep digging ourselves deeper and deeper.

"We are not getting it done from an effort standpoint. It's like we are not even trying right now."

The Knicks have not won at home since defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in their season opener.
