Nicolas Batum has described LaMarcus Aldridge as the "best power forward in the league" following his 31-point performance for the Portland Trail Blazers against the Houston Rockets last night.
The 28-year-old, who also had a career-high 25 rebounds, has emerged as an early favourite to be named this season's MVP after averaging 23.5 points per game so far this season.
Aldridge's teammate told reporters: "That's the best game I've seen LA play, ever. He has improved every year, and right now he is the best power forward in the league, no doubt. And I don't think he's even reached his full potential yet."
Aldridge was last week's Western Conference player of the week.
