Australia boxer Jordan Samardali has said that he was not worried by the controversy surrounding his victory over Ryan Charles in the Commonwealth Games on Friday.
The light heavyweight beat Charles by a split decision in the 81kg category in Glasgow – a decision that brought boos from the supporters following a strong display from Charles.
The Australian, however, remained unmoved when asked about the controversial nature of the win.
"It was a good fight. First fight out the way, now I have four more to go," he told Sports Mole.
"A win is a win. It doesn't matter about the split decision, I won."
Samardali's next fight is against Hugo Afaese Fata Kalepi on July 27.
