WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly has said that it would be a "dream" to step into the ring with Bernard Hopkins.
The Welshman faces the third defence of his crown against Serbia's Robin Krasniqi on April 28, the same night of Hopkins's eagerly-awaited rematch with Chad Dawson.
Cleverly, 25, said that he would be ready to face the Philadelphia fighter this summer and fancies his chances of winning.
"It would be a dream to get Hopkins and I'm really buzzing with all the talk about fighting him," said Cleverly.
"I will be ready for it by the summer. If a chance comes up I will grab it with both hands and I reckon I could win."
Unbeaten Cleverly has registered 11 knockouts in his 24 victories.
