IBF world champion Carl Froch has calmed talk that there could be a rematch with Lucian Bute following the Brit's stunning victory last weekend.
The Nottingham-born fighter clinched a shock win over the formerly-unbeaten Romanian, who was forced to bow out in the fifth round.
"I don't think anyone expects it will be Bute considering after the brutal way it ended," Froch told BBC Radio Five Live. "It was such a one-sided beating, I don't know where he'll go mentally to try to get confidence for a rematch."
Froch revealed after the fight that he would have retired if he had failed to beat Bute last Saturday night.
