British super-middleweight George Groves has lost his appeal to increase the amount of money that he would receive if he agreed a deal to fight Carl Froch for his IBF and WBA super-middleweight titles.
Last week, Groves turned down a "seven-figure" offer to face Froch in the summer, only for the IBF to order a rematch of their November classic after Groves won his appeal for "inappropriate conduct" from referee Howard Foster.
However, Groves has been informed that he will receive just a 15% share of the purse should he agree to face Froch after losing his appeal to increase his money from the mandatory fee.
Discussions are ongoing between both camps, with Froch's promoter Eddie Hearn remaining insistent that a rematch will take place in the future.
