British heavyweight David Haye has claimed that stable-mate George Groves has the capability to beat world champion Carl Froch.
IBF super-middleweight king Froch admitted over the weekend that he would be prepared to fight Groves.
The Londoner has become Froch's mandatory challenger for the belt and Haye is keen to see the fight made.
"If George Groves isn't ready now, when will he be ready?" Haye told Sky Sports News. "Who does he have to beat before people say he is ready.
"He is ranked number one behind [Froch], so who else should he fight? There aren't many people out there either, so if he's not ready now, he'll never be ready.
"They have both got the capabilities of beating each other. It's down to the one who sticks to his guns and does it right on the night."
Haye is currently preparing for a return to the ring himself, when he takes on unbeaten Tyson Fury in September.
