Amir Khan is to appoint Virgil Hunter as his new trainer after parting company with Freddie Roach, according to a report.
The Bolton fighter's team selected the American following his achievements with Andre Ward, who unified two world super-middleweight titles under his guidance.
Khan has held talks with several high-profile trainers, but has now settled on Hunter, the Daily Mail reports.
The former WBA title holder parted company with Roach following two consecutive defeats, most recently at the hands of Danny Garcia in July.
