Saturday's La Liga predictions including Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid.

Celta Vigo vs. Betis (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Celta Vigo will be bidding to record their first La Liga victory of 2025 when they welcome Real Betis on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts have only picked up one point from their last four league matches, which has seen them drop into 13th spot in the La Liga table, while Real Betis are 10th, boasting 29 points from their opening 22 games.

We say: Celta Vigo 1-1 Real Betis

Celta have been in strong form in front of their own fans this season, only losing three of their 11 league matches on home soil, while Real Betis have posted just three away victories in 2024-25. The visitors will enter this match in the stronger form, but we are expecting Celta to be good enough to secure a share of the spoils on Saturday.

Athletic Bilbao vs. Girona (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Athletic Bilbao will be aiming to stretch their unbeaten run in La Liga to 14 matches when they welcome Girona to San Mames for an intriguing contest on Saturday afternoon.

The home side are currently fourth in the La Liga table, four points ahead of fifth-placed Villarreal, while Girona are seventh, one point behind sixth-placed Rayo Vallecano in the race for Europe.

We say: Athletic Bilbao 2-1 Girona

Athletic have shared the points in three of their last five league matches, including at home to Leganes at the end of January, and Girona are certainly good enough to avoid defeat on Saturday. That said, we are backing Athletic to emerge as narrow winners at San Mames.

Las Palmas vs. Villarreal (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Villarreal will be aiming to make it back-to-back wins in La Liga when they head to Las Palmas on Saturday night.

Marcelino's side are currently fifth in the La Liga table, four points behind fourth-placed Athletic Bilbao, while Las Palmas are 15th, two points clear of the relegation zone in Spain's top flight.

We say: Las Palmas 1-2 Villarreal

Villarreal have been in excellent form of late, and with Perez now back to full fitness, a push for the top four is in full flow. Las Palmas are certainly capable of picking up a positive result here, and we are backing them to score against a shaky defence, but Villarreal's quality in the forward areas should allow them to secure all three points.

Real Madrid vs. Atletico (Saturday, 8.00pm)

The latest instalment of the Madrid derby will take place at Bernabeu on Saturday evening, with Real Madrid welcoming Atletico Madrid for a top-of-the-table battle in Spain's top flight.

Real Madrid are currently leading the way in the La Liga table, but they are only one point clear of second-placed Atletico, with Diego Simeone's side firmly in the title picture with 18 games left.

We say: Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid

This is such a difficult match to call, and we have had to settle on a 1-1 draw, which has been the scoreline in three of the last four league meetings between the two sides, including the last two at Bernabeu. Real Madrid have home advantage, but this is a serious Atletico outfit, and we are finding it tough to predict a loss for Simeone's side on Saturday night.
