Jean Marc Mormeck will challenge Wladimir Klitschko for his worldwide titles on December 10.

The Ukranian holds a number of heavyweight titles, including the WBA belt he took from David Haye in July. Haye, who afterwards complained that his performance had been hampered by a broken toe, had said that he would consider delaying his imminent retirement if offered a rematch.

"I know that I go into every fight as the favourite but I also know that every opponent will be prepared to be at their best against me," the PA quotes Kiltschko as saying.

"Mormeck is one of the most experienced opponents I've ever faced. He has already competed in numerous world title fights, he's technically strong, has excellent boxing skills and fights extremely intelligently. To underestimate him would be fatal."

Meanwhile Mormeck, who stands to be the Ukrainian's 50th knockout, claimed that he is confident he can come out on top.

"I've longed for this opportunity. I know I can take it," he said. "On December 11 I'll come home to Paris with a suitcase full of championship belts."

The pair will clash at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf.
