British super-middleweight Callum Smith has revealed that he is relishing the chance to feature in an all-Merseyside clash against Rocky Fielding on Saturday night.
The pair, who are both undefeated in the professional ranks, will compete for the British title at the Echo Arena, and Smith has backed himself to impress against the former Commonwealth title holder.
The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "These are the fights I want to be involved in. The city is talking and it's sold out. I'm excited. That's what I'm in boxing for. Every fighter feels pressure and I feel I've got to keep winning if I've got to be a world champion.
"I'm a puncher as well. I've never showed signs of being hurt in the past against far bigger punchers than Rocky Fielding. I think it'll come down to who's the better fighter and I believe that's me. I believe I'm better in every department."
Smith's WBC silver belt will also be on the line as both men look to move closer to a chance to face world champion Badou Jack.
