Scotland boxer Stephen Lavelle has thanked the "incredible" crowd for helping him overcome Kody Davies at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday.
Heavyweight Lavelle booked his spot in the quarter-finals of the competition after moving past Davies in what was arguably the contest of the day in Glasgow.
"The crowd is incredible. It is your extra man isn't it? They rode you on and that saw me through. I just gritted my teeth and went for it," he told Sports Mole.
"It just spurs you on so much and gives you that extra drive. It is absolutely fantastic."
Lavelle suffered a cut to his eye in the bout.
