Serbia edge out Germany for kayak gold

Serbia duo Nebojsa Grujic and Marko Novakovic edge out Germany's Tom Liebscher and Ronald Rauhe for gold in the K2 200m kayak event at the European Games.

Serbia needed a photo finish to secure the gold medal in the men's K2 200m kayak double event in the European Games, finishing just ahead of Germany.

Nebojsa Grujic and Marko Novakovic had to wait to find out if they had been victorious, with first place initially being awarded to Tom Liebscher and Ronald Rauhe, who eventually had to settle for silver.

Hungary clinched the final spot on the podium as Sandor Totka and Peter Molnar crossed the line in a time of 32.513, just over half a second behind the champions.

Team GB's Jon Schofield and Liam Heath just missed out on a medal, tying for fourth with Spanish pairing Carlos Arevalo and Cristian Toro.
