Afghanistan seal historic six-run win over West Indies

Afghanistan pull off a huge shock at the World Twenty20 by securing a six-run win over much-fancied West Indies in Nagpur.

Afghanistan have produced a stunning upset at the ICC World Twenty20 by defeating West Indies by six runs for their first win of the Super 10 stage of the competition.

The form nation slumped to a shock defeat thanks largely to Najibullah Zadran's 48* to score 123-7 for his side in Nagpur.

The Windies were dismissed for 117-8 to spark scenes of celebrations, though they still finish top of Group 1 ahead of England, while underdogs Afghanistan bow out with this memorable consolation win.

Najibullah top scored with four fours and one six in his unbeaten 40-ball knock, following on from opener Mohammad Shahzad's confident 24 before eventually being sent packing by Samuel Bedree.

Zadran ensured that Afghanistan surpassed the century mark, though, and they quickly worked their way through the Windies' pack to end their campaign on a real high.
