Shane Watson suffers hamstring injury

As The Ashes draw nearer, Australia's all-rounder Shane Watson pulls up with a hamstring injury.

Shane Watson has picked up a hamstring complaint with The Ashes just 19 days away.

The Australian all-rounder suffered the injury during the ongoing one-day international between his nation and India in Bangalore.

Although there has been no indication as to the severity of the problem, it was deemed serious enough for the 32-year-old to leave the field to receive treatment.

"In a huge blow for Australia, Shane Watson has left the field, unable to continue bowling," read a tweet from Cricket Australia's official account.

Watson has played in three previous Ashes series.
