Australia batsman Michael Clarke has insisted that he has no plans to give up the one-day captaincy.

The 33-year-old, who is expected to be on the sidelines for some time due to a hamstring injury that he suffered in training, has faced calls to step down as skipper.

"I have no intention [of quitting]," BBC Sport quotes Clarke as saying. "The reason I walked away from T20 international cricket a couple of years ago was to be able to play Test and one-day cricket."

Clarke is likely to miss the upcoming series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.
