Mitchell Johnson, Kumar Sangakkara, AB de Villiers and Angelo Mathews have been nominated for the ICC Cricketer of the Year 2014 award.
Australia paceman Johnson ripped apart England in the 2013-14 Ashes series and has since maintained his form to become a feared force once again.

Johnson, and Sri Lanka batsman Sangakkara, who is the leading run getter in all formats between the voting period of August 26, 2013 and September 17, 2014, are in contention to be the first second-time winners of the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.
The pair, along with Sri Lanka skipper Mathews, are also shortlisted for the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year, while South Africa's De Villiers is up for the ODI equivalent.
England's award hopefuls are Gary Ballance and Ben Stokes, who are among the contenders for the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year prize, while women's captain Charlotte Edwards is nominated for Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year, alongside Sarah Taylor, and in the T20 format.
Alex Hales has also been recognised for his remarkable century against Sri Lanka in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, which is celebrated in the ICC Twenty20 International Performance of the Year category.
