Tamin Iqbal has recorded the highest score in a Test match by a Bangladesh batsman after making 206 on the final day of their opening fixture with Pakistan.
After playing his part in a 312-run partnership for the first wicket with Imrul Kayes, Iqbal continued his pursuit of a double-ton as Bangladesh looked to extend their lead in order to secure a draw.
The 26-year-old was scoring at an excellent rate, and he showed no let up as he reached his target in 261 balls to become only the second Bangladesh batsman to reach 200, after Mushfiqur Rahim also reached that figure in 2013.
Iqbal was finally dismissed for 206 but his job was done as Bangladesh reached tea on 451-3, giving them an advantage of 155 runs with one just one session remaining.
