England have moved on to 171-4 at tea on day three of the second Ashes Test against Australia at Lord's.
The hosts have extended their advantage to 404 runs after resuming on 114-3.
Joe Root and Tim Bresnan continued to push on at a steady pace before Bresnan was caught by Chris Rogers off the bowling of James Pattinson for 38.
Ian Bell was next in to join Root at the crease and he looked to have been out when it appeared that he was caught by Steve Smith from a Ryan Harris delivery.
However, the third umpire ruled that the ball had not carried and the batsman stayed in before going on to make 16.
Meanwhile, Root remained in control out in the middle and finished three runs shy of a century ahead of the final session of the day.
