England unchanged for second Ashes Test

Australia draft in Mitchell Marsh and Peter Nevill for the second Test against England, while the Three Lions remain unchanged from last week's opener in Cardiff.

England have named an unchanged side for the second Test in the Ashes series against Australia.

The tourists have made two alterations, meanwhile, as Shane Watson and Brad Haddin both drop out.

Mitchell Marsh and Peter Nevill enter the fold for an Aussie side aiming to bounce back from last week's 169-run defeat in Cardiff.

Alastair Cook's England have been dealt an early blow, with Australia winning the toss and opting to bat first at Lord's.

Speaking to Sky Sports News prior to the start of play on day one, Cook conceded: "We'd have wanted to bat because it looks a good wicket. We pray the clouds come in."

England: Alastair Cook, Adam Lyth, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Mark Wood, Stuart Broad, James Anderson.

Australia: Chris Rogers, David Warner, Steve Smith, Michael Clarke, Adam Voges, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevill, Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
