England's Jade Dernbach believes the team will have learned a lot from their recent tour of India.
India comfortably won the one-day international series 5-0, before England earned some respectability by winning the Twenty20 international.
However, Dernbach believes that England's younger players can take plenty away from the tour.
"It was a very tough trip results-wise, but as a young side going out to the sub-continent it was just essential that we came back having learned something." Dernbach told ecb.co.uk.
"I think everyone will have taken something away from there, so I hope the next time we find ourselves over there we're going to come back stronger and hopefully have developed our games that much further."
Dernbach took just one wicket in three appearances during the one-day series.
The Surrey bowler has made thirteen ODI appearances for England, taking 16 wickets at 41.56.
