England captain Andrew Strauss praises the performance of his bowlers during today's victory at the Oval over India.

Andrew Strauss has praised England's bowlers after his side completed a 4-0 series whitewash over India earlier today.

Off-spinner Graeme Swann finished with six wickets, while all the seamers bowled economically as England completed victory at the Oval by an innings and eight runs.

"We asked a lot of the bowlers and they responded magnificently," the England captain told Sky Sports News.

"This was Graeme Swann's turn to take the wickets. He toiled away brilliantly and had to work hard for his wickets. He was well supported by the seamers as well.

"When you look back to the start of the game - the 200 that Ian Bell scored was certainly the best innings that I've seen him play. It was an outstanding performance and set up the game for us."

Victory during the series has seen England replace the tourists as the number one Test team in the world.
