James Anderson has said that he cannot understand why he has been left out of England's side for the third and final Test against the West Indies.
It was announced that the pace bowler, who has taken nine wickets in the first two Tests, would sit out of the Edgbaston clash, despite being fully fit and ready to play.
National selector Geoff Miller said that the decision was made in a bid to "manage his workload ahead of a busy period of cricket this summer".
However, the 29-year-old has insisted that he wants to play in every England game that he can as a vital home series against South Africa approaches.
"Nobody would volunteer to be left out of this side, who knows what may happen in the future with injury or loss of form?" said Anderson.
"It would be different if I felt fatigued or was struggling with an injury. But I believe I am fit to play and while I am fit to play I want to play in every England game I can."
England have already secured victory over the West Indies, having won the first two Tests.
