AB de Villiers: 'We can still get better'

AB de Villiers believes that South Africa will get better after the victory over England in the second one-day international.

AB de Villiers has insisted that South Africa can build on their comprehensive victory over England in the second one-day international in Southampton on Tuesday.

Hashim Amla scored 150 in the victory at the Rose Bowl and while the Proteas captain was quick to heap praise on the batsman, he claims that there are still areas that the team need to work on.

De Villiers told Sky Sports News: "Hashim is on fire at the moment, breaking records. We're all proud of him and what's he's achieved - hopefully he can maintain that form for many years to come.

"It's been a good game for us but there's a long way to go in the series. We've got a lot to prove and many areas to get better.

"There are still a few things we can work on."

South Africa will take a 1-0 lead into Friday's game at The Oval on Friday.
