The International Cricket Council have confirmed that they have withdrawn umpire Aleem Dar from standing in the series between India and South Africa.
Dar was due to stand in the fifth one-day international between MS Dhoni's men and the Proteas in Chennai after umpiring the first match of the series.
However, the ICC have made the decision to withdraw the 46-year-old from action after Shiv Sena party activists stormed the Board of Control for Cricket in India offices in Mumbai.
The group threatened to prevent Dar from standing in the match, so as a result world cricket's governing body have made the decision to remove him from the contest.
A spokesman said: "Under the present circumstances, it will be unreasonable to expect from Aleem that he will be able to perform his duties to the best of his abilities."
Dar has been named ICC umpire of the year three times in his career.
