Delhi Daredevils beat Kolkata Knight Riders

Delhi Daredevils beat Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets in the Indian Premier League at the Dubai International Stadium.

Delhi Daredevils have beaten Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets in the Indian Premier League at the Dubai International Stadium this evening.

The Knight Riders paid the penalty for a woeful start to the contest, as opening batsmen Jacques Kallis and captain Gautam Gambhir lasted just five balls before being dismissed.

However, KKR soon found the form which saw them beat Mumbai Indians by 41 runs last week.

Manish Pandey (48) proved difficult to shift at the crease, while partner Robin Uthappa (55) registered a half-century en route to giving Delhi a target of 166.

It proved an achievable target, however, as Dinesh Karthik (56) and JP Duminy (52) both hit half-centuries in helping the Daredevils chase down 166 and record their first victory of the new IPL campaign.
