Kolkata Knight Riders have started their Indian Premier League title defence with a seven-wicket victory at home to Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai were made to bat first and scored 168-3 before the Knight Riders reached 170-3 with nine balls remaining.
Rohit Sharma (98*) and Corey Anderson (55*) made the bulk of the Indians' runs, but Aaron Finch (5), Aditya Tare (7) and a duck from Ambati Rayudu all struggled early on.
Morne Morkel took two wickets for Kolkata, while Shakib Al Hasan also got in on the act with the ball.
Robin Uthappa was dismissed for just nine as the Knight Riders got their run-chase underway, though scores of 57 and 40 from Gautam Gambhir and Manish Pandey respectively saw the hosts get the scoreboard ticking over soon after.
Suryakumar Yadav (46*) and Yusuf Pathan (14 run out) then saw Kolkata over the line with nearly two overs remaining.
