Notts Outlaws opener Alex Hales believes that the best is yet to come out of his partnership with Michael Lumb.
The pairing enjoyed their most productive outing to date in their Royal London One Day Cup match against Sussex at Horsham, with a 139-run stand paving the way for a solid win.
Hales has scored 314 runs in the NatWest T20 Blast this season and is keen to add to his tally in Sunday's quarter-final against Hampshire at Trent Bridge.
"I really enjoy the partnership I've established with Michael Lumb for Notts and England but we probably haven't fired as much as we'd like too in T20 cricket this year," Hales told the club's official website.
"Sunday would be the perfect time to put on a big score but the fact that we've done as well as we have in the group shows the depth that we have in our batting."
Hales departed without scoring in the only previous meeting between the two sides in Twenty20 cricket as Hampshire prevailed in the 2012 quarter-final at Trent Bridge.
