Pakistan have made 98-9 in the first innings of their Twenty20 encounter with South Africa in Dubai.
Umar Akmal top scored with a knock of 49, but Shahid Afridi (12), Shoaib Malik (12) and Abdul Razzaq (10) were the only other players who made it into double figures at the crease.
Dale Steyn took three wickets for the Proteas, while Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Imran Tahir also got in on the act with two apiece.
The match is the first of two T20s between the sides following South Africa's 4-1 win in the recent one-day international series.
