The Delhi Daredevils managed to overcome the challenge of the Pune Warriors by 15 runs in the Indian Premier League this evening.
The Daredevils opened the batting and while a number of their players were unable to build upon positive starts, an unbeaten knock of 51 from Australian David Warner helped them to post a total of 164-5 from their 20 overs.
In reply, the Warriors got off to a positive start thanks to openers Robin Uthappa and Aaron Finch, who made 37 runs apiece before they were dismissed.
However, from that point their run rate slowed and despite Yuvraj Singh's contribution of 31 from 24 deliveries, they eventually finished 16 runs short of their victory target.
The result has seen the Daredevils move off the bottom of the table.
