A knock of 67 runs from Australian Aaron Finch helped Ross Taylor's Pune Warriors to record a 24-run victory over the Chennai Super Kings this evening.
Opener Finch achieved that score from just 45 deliveries, while his fellow countryman Steven Smith added an unbeaten 39 to help the Warriors post 159 from their 20 overs for the loss of five wickets.
In reply, the Super Kings struggled to form any partnerships, with Mitchell Marsh the pick of the Warriors bowlers as he claimed two wickets.
When Ashok Dinda claimed the wicket of skipper MS Dhoni for just 10 runs, any chance that the Super Kings had of winning the contest had gone.
They eventually finished their 20 overs on 135-8.
