South Africa will have to make do without the services of bowler Vernon Philander for Friday's Cricket World Cup encounter against the West Indies.
The 29-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during his side's 130-run defeat at the hands of India on Sunday.
A subsequent scan has revealed a grade one tear, which is likely to rule him out of action for up to 10 days.
Philander may recover in time to feature against Ireland on March 3.
