The Proteas lost the toss at the Wanderers Stadium and were put into bat first before making 153-7 off 20 overs.

Quinton de Kock top scored for the hosts with a knock of 43, while Hashim Amla (31), Faf du Plessis (22) and David Miller (19 not out) also contributed at the crease.

Mohammad Hafeez and Junaid Khan were the leading wicket-takers for Pakistan with two dismissals apiece.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhatti and Shahid Afridi took one wicket each before the end of the African innings.
