Faf du Plessis hits a half-century to lead South Africa to 135-2 at tea on day two of the third Test against the West Indies.

Faf du Plessis reached a half-century just before tea on day two of the third Test against the West Indies as South Africa chase the tourists' first-innings score of 329.

The batsman led the home side to 135-2 at the interval in Cape Town, 194 runs short of their opponents' score as they look to secure a series win.

Resuming on 41-1 after lunch, just one wicket fell during the afternoon session as Jermaine Blackwood ran out Alviro Petersen for 42.

Hashim Amla joined Du Plessis at the crease before tea, patiently hitting 16 off 45 balls before the break.
