Bad weather has played havoc with the fourth day of the second test between Sri Lanka and South Africa, as the players were delayed after lunch due to rain, before being forced into an early tea because of bad light.
At the lunch break, Sri Lanka were 108/3 after 30 overs, and leading overall by 247 runs, but the players were unable to continue for around an hour due to heavy rain.
After the restart, Kumar Sangakkara reached a milestone as he struck a half-century off 70 balls, which was also his 50th half-century in Test cricket.
However, a catch by Quinton de Kock later on in the day meant that Sangakkara was subsequently out for 72, before Morne Morkel took his 200th Test wicket, bowling out Kithuruwan Vithanage.
Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella was then fined 10 percent of his match fee for claiming an unfair catch in South Africa's first innings. He claimed a catch against AB de Villiers before replays showed that it bounced short of his gloves.
Just as Dilruwan Perera came out to bat, the umpires proceeded to take the players off for bad light.
As things stand, Sri Lanka are 203/6 after 48 overs, and leading by 342 runs.
