The West Indies Cricket Board has approved a recommendation to offer head coach Ottis Gibson a new contract.
Gibson guided the team to glory in the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka last October and the WICB has moved quickly to secure his services for the foreseeable future.
The 43-year-old has been linked with the vacant post at Warwickshire after Ashley Giles left the county to take charge of England's one-day team.
Gibson is expected to be offered a three-year deal as the WICB moves quickly to prevent his potential switch to the winners of the County Championship.
The former pace bowler previously worked as a bowling coach for England.
