Worcestershire Rapids re-sign Colin Munro

New Zealand batsman Colin Munro signs on to play in a second T20 Blast campaign for the Worcestershire Rapids.

Colin Munro has agreed to turn out for the Worcestershire Rapids during this year's T20 Blast.

The 27-year-old scored 332 runs as he helped the Rapids to reach the quarter-finals of the 2014 Blast.

"I said when I left last summer that I'd love to come back and play for Worcestershire again. It was an awesome experience," he told the club's official website.

"The boys made me feel part of the dressing room and part of the team, even the crowd took to me as one of their own, and I'm looking forward to coming back with the family."

Meanwhile, director of cricket Steve Rhodes added: "Colin is going to be a terrific signing because he is a very dangerous and devastating player in T20 cricket.

"He is a powerful hitter of the ball as well and gives us, along with a few other boundary hitters, some real potency."

The batsman, who has been capped in all three formats of the game by New Zealand, has made 14 T20 appearances for the Black Caps.
