Gold for Matthew Glaetzer in men's keirin

Australia's Matthew Glaetzer wins gold in the men's keirin, the final event in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome at the Commonwealth Games.

Australian cyclist Matthew Glaetzer has brought the curtain down on the action at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome with gold in the men's keirin on Sunday evening in a time of 10.465s.

Glaetzer just about had enough in his legs to hold off the challenge of New Zealand rider Sam Webster, with the Kiwi forced to settle for silver in the end.

Mohd Azizulhasni Awang of Malaysia finished very strongly for bronze, but might have made a challenge for gold had he not been boxed in around the final corner.

There was no home nations interest in the final.
