Mark Cavendish has said that he is "over the moon" after topping the general classification standings of the Tour of Qatar.
The 27-year-old, riding for Omega Pharma-Quick Step, took his fourth consecutive stage win to ensure that he finished the six-day race in the yellow jersey, as well as finishing top in the points standings.
After the race, the Briton told reporters: "I'm over the moon. [There was] a little bit of pressure on me and I was a bit nervous. But I'm really happy to get the win.
"I am so happy and proud I can bring it home again for the team again. We have won Tour of Qatar six times, and I don't know how many stages, so I am happy to be a part of that."
It is only the second time during his career that Cavendish has taken a general classification win.
