Chris Froome releases blood test data, insists "I'm 100% clean"

Team Sky cyclist Chris Froome insists that he is "100% clean" as he releases blood test data.

Team Sky cyclist Chris Froome has released three sets of physiological data in an attempt to prove that he is a clean athlete.

The first set of data is from 2007, the second set is from this summer's Tour de France - which Froome won - and the final set comes from an independent test undertaken in August.

"Hopefully, it's going to satisfy some of the questions that have been asked," Froome told Esquire.

"I know what I've done to get here. I'm the only one who can really say 100% that I'm clean. I haven't broken the rules. I haven't cheated. I haven't taken any secret substance that isn't known of yet.

"I know my results will stand the test of time, that 10, 15 years down the line people won't say, 'Ah, so that was his secret.' There isn't a secret."

Froome has been named on the 12-man shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
